During an interview with Tom Service on New Music Show moments before the world premiere broadcast of TECHNO-UTOPIA with the BBC Philharmonic conducted by  Jack Sheen with Zubin Kanga (soloist) Rob asks: What does it mean to make music as a human? What does it mean to experience music? What does music mean in our lives that can't be captured in data?

To make music is more than just making a sound and it’s more than just making a product. It’s about all your memories of making music and everything you’ve ever heard and all the ways that you thought about what it means to be human and sort of put your expressive soul into your performances and that’s what all of these movements (of TECHNO-UTOPIA) are really about.

This piece is kind of a double really. It is about how can we make better more interesting technology. It’s also about what is it that technology is never going to understand no matter how good it is.
